Hi,l am pooja. 32 years back,l got married at the age of 20...(ofcourse it was arrange marriage..)And hence couldnt complete even graduation. The very next year of my marriage, l blessed with beautiful fairy...my daughter who enriched my womanhood to all its perfections. I was very happy and enjoying every beat of rhythm of my life...with my little angel..my daughter-'The Melidy Maker'. But... But somewhere the guilt and awkward feeling was always there in my mind,that l couldnt complete my degree... Parallelly, my mind used to make me aware about my priorities and responsibilities towards my daughter and her bringing up. And when she was 3 yrs old,l appeared my finals and achieved my graduation. Then..... Then no turning behind... Once l completed my graduation, l done my NCRT's Montessory course to serve as a teacher.My beautiful was in her Kindergarten that time. Thogh l got the degree,nowhere l got any employment . So convinced myself (and was very true) that my daughter's very basic and primary need is her mother.Hence focused on her studies and overall development. Just for the source of income,started many self grooming classes for kids and females. Like cooking classes(punjabi,chinese,choupati snacks,pizza,ice creams,south lndian food,bengali sweets,,cakes etc.) I used to take orders for birthday cakes. Besides l gave coaching for some crash courses like soft toys making,murals making,necklace,jewellery making,scent,perfumes,room freshners making etc . Spoken English for kids and women. I arranged summer camps for kids based on art n craft. I completed Shehnaj Hussen's Beauticians ' diploma.And started my own beauty parlour. By God's grace l'm blessed with good communication skills,with impressive pronunciation.So l got the opportunity as a local TV news reader. Truely speaking,l enjoyed this all.. the variations...or just to say..spices of life..... very colourful n full of life. Well..well....ln this all,still something was missing in my life...though l got all that one needs...name,fame/money every thing..that all l achieved,infact... And finally clicked...my education. Its mere graduation and after that total full stop!!! Meanwhile my lil fairy, gracefully ,was in her journey,from toddler to teenager. Feeling proud to share that she achieved many awards,trophies with fantastic academic scores... And ...again l showred with blessings of God....it was wonderful feeling to be a mom,second time...Yes l got my second baby , my son. He,my son was just two years old and l thought to upgrade myself as a teacher.So l applied for teachers training course(B.Ed.) and got my admission done. There as well l got many awars and ranking in many of the activities and competitions. l completed i my BEd. successfully.l got my distinction and placed in one of the reputed school as a teacher.... We often say...life goes on...there is no full stop,...but has many commas! I still want to move further....wanted me to get masters degree....!!! Like earn and learn...l was doing my teachers job one side and other side getting my Masters degree in Science (MSc.) I never gave any of my load/expenses,including my course fees of any education to my family.l used to pay my fees from my own salary.My family,especially my husband is always my strong support in this all journey. He never said no....whatever it is..either my job, grooming training or education. He was always ready to pay all my fees or related expenses. And my efforts and hardworkship fruitfulled....l got my Msc degre..but ...l missed my first class,mere for 6 marks. But immediately after this achievement,l got a job as a lecturer in Engineering college. I had been given many responsibilities there...which l served at my best.l handeled many cells as a cultural incharge, womens' representative,HOD... And won 'most enthusiastic teacher' award there. Basicaly l am a Science faculty,but college committee gave me the responsibility to teach language related Subjects like communication skills ,business communication ethics etc....so again l got a click in my mind!!!!....to get a degree ..master in Arts(English).. So l joined the college and successfully got my M.A degree..And this time l got a First class. No...its not a fullstop.. yet...???...!!! Yes...l want to achieve PhD . .l appeared PET(PhD Entrance Test) and succeed . In between l lost almost 3 yrs to find the guide...but finally got the guide,appeared the interview and got myself registered for PhD. Now it was the time to switch my job,whuch would be nearby my house. And aftrr a successfull interview placed as a lecturer in one of the hotel management college. If l look back...it was not that way easy journey. When l got married l couldn't complete even my graduation, but all my friends were busy in getting their Masters degree.lt gave some guilt somewhere... But... I did it...thanks to you dear,God..you are there...always gave justice for my honest and hard efforts One funny rhing...want to share...many times people used to laugh on me,cos... When my daughter was in nursery l got my graduation When my daughter was in K.G...l was gettimg my training as a K.G.teacher. When she was in 5th Std,l got my BEd.degree When she was in 12th,l completed my MSc. When my daughter was getting her Engineering degree, l was busy in getting my M.A. degree. Finally my daughter ended up her education and got her placement,..still l was moving forward as a student!!!.my PhD degree. Thats what people tease me....daughter completed her education but...mother is still in studentship!!!. One thing want to reveal....though l struggled for my PhD,.....l think..lts the time now...to think about tne full stop...and hence,last year l cancelled my registration for PhD. Two strong reasons are there..One thing my time management,supported by my age factor And second reason is there is very big Queue for PhD,behind me ..and they all are youngsters..they have many beautiful dreams in their eyes,...related to their education, qualification,jobs,careers and..ultimately about the LIFE.. And, Me....??? If you ask...its mere degree for me....yes just a degree as Doctor before my name... Its my aspiration before my last breath ...and...and ..l wanted myself to die as a Doctor....nothing more. There is no any ascending graph of career now,in my life after getting my PhD degree cos of age factor..so l just thought ....how far it is fair...whats the justice with the young blood and their promising dreams....sometimes, especially at this age some sacrifices give the better pleasure and heavenly satisfactions in life...right? Last...but not the least... "LOVE YOU JINDAGI" And.. ThanQ...for giving this platform to reveal my emotions and experiences of life. Thanks!!!

At times, when my own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. That's when I acknowledge and appreciate a GEM, as it is always a wonderful thing to express gratitude which makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well. Let me introduce you to Kalyani Chechi with a limited education and resource, under whose supervision I grew up as my parents were both working. I am overwhelmed to say that this kind hearted care giver has never ever HIT or even spank me. Although she knew not much about the psychology behind it. Hitting a child is never okay. It only creates FEAR, lack of trust, and a broken relationship. I am sure we would not hit anyone else for not listening to us, then WHY a child because they live on our mercy ???? or is it a cultural hand me down. In fact, hitting a child is our own inability to communicate, set boundaries, or even self control. There can never be a reason to justify it.
